Bomb Hurled At Allied Iron Association Office
A bomb shattered the Allied Iron association at 7 East Fourteenth Street as workers rallied in a strike against Post & McCord. The blast wounded no one seriously, but damaged the telephone room and wrecked the office used to place non union iron workers with contractor jobs. The Altman building blast had killed three earlier and injured many.

Elevated Collision Kills One and Injures Forty in Harlem
On Tuesday night two crowded passenger trains on the New York Central and Hudson River elevated line collided near One Hundred Tenth Street Harlem. J W Knapp of New Rochelle died and forty were seriously hurt. Rescue was difficult as tracks sit about thirty feet above ground. Fire crews aided many evacuations with ladders. Engineer John D Horn was arrested for manslaughter and later bailed. no injuries reported on the Poughkeepsie line.

Desperate Negro Beats Men to Death in Louisiana
Ora Ree, a young Black man near St. Joseph Louisiana, used a iron pipe to kill two white men, fatally wound a third, and seriously injure another. The assailant robbed $45 and the clothes of the victims, John Kelly of Memphis and Charles W. Hecker of Chicago. A companion was fatally wounded, and Will Calahan suffered a severe head wound. Fire Breaks Out in Blackwell's Island Workhouse Wing
Fire swept the women's wing of the city work house on Blackwell's Island near Seventy-ninth Street shortly before 3 am on Wednesday. Fire boats and engine companies were dispatched from Manhattan, and the blaze burned fiercely for about a half hour before danger to the building subsided at 2 20 am.
