Brunswick Georgia September 25 1902 city council met with mayor Emanuel and aldermen Franklin Newman McGarvey Calhoun Cook Taylor present. Items included paying two militia companies $10 monthly for armory rent and street improvement plans for Newcastle street.

Brunswick ordinance on poles and wires read third time

Under the public works committee the ordinance regulating telegraph, telephone and electric poles was read a second time and set for a third reading. Bills and accounts were approved and audited and ordered for settlement. Adjournment noted by Clerk N D Russell.

Mr Osmont Y Barkuloo died suddenly Wednesday night at Miller's Station on the Atlantic Coast Line near Savannah from acute appendicitis He had lived in this city most of his life and recently near Savannah His remains were sent to the city and the funeral held at 1 o clock from Mrs J W Price home Interment was at Oak Grove cemetery He leaves a brother H S Barkuloo of Readville Ohio and sisters Mrs C B Stillwell Savannah and Miss Willie Barkuloo The community extends sympathy to the family
