Freight-train head-on collision near Sesoms injures Baxley

Two freight trains collided head on near Sesoms on the Atlanta Birmingham and Atlantic line last night at 10. Engineer William Baxley of this city, famed among company workers, was seriously injured and reported near death, then improving. fireman Eugene Dockery of Brunswick was killed instantly.

Funeral for W F Doerflinger Set for Tomorrow

The funeral for W F Doerflinger, who died in Baltimore Wednesday, will be held tomorrow afternoon at St Mark s Episcopal Church with Rev W E Boykin officiating. Pallbearers will be chosen from the Masons and Knights of Pythias lodges of which he was a member.

Superior Court Opens Under Judge Parker Monday

The Superior Court will convene Monday morning with Judge Parker. The term may last two to three weeks as the Ingram case occupied much of the first week. The civil docket will resume and the criminal side may wait several days. The grand jury will meet with important matters expected.

Services Held for Little Anna Ballard in Brunswick

Funeral services were held last night at the Ballard home for Anna Ballard who died recently. A choir sang popular hymns and schoolchildren sent elaborate floral tributes in tribute to their young friend. Remains were transported to Greensboro for interment today. Pallbearers included C Downing D Oge W B Cook and R Conant. W F Doerflinger's death caused a Hanover Park Atlantic Band concert to be canceled. a new date is set for Monday night.
