Berlin May 2 royal wedding preparations begin as Princess Victoria Louise and Prince Ernest August arrive with King George and Queen Mary. Emperors, princes, and guards line the routes. British flags fly from Zeppelin and Hansa balloons guiding the royal procession to the castle.

Montgomery May 21 A retired capitalist J J Forniss 73 native of Wilcox County Alabama shot himself in his hotel apartment as his wife lay senile in an adjoining room. The discovery was made at 6 o clock this morning by a maid attending Mrs Forniss. Forniss had been in frail health and his mind appeared unsettled after years of teetene health for con paernies.
