Arrest of Cliff Jordan on Dark Charge
Griffin, May 2. Cliff Jordan of Macon, formerly of this city, arrested on a warrant by J. W. Heath. He was nabbed by Officer Crowder as he boarded the down train and will face Judge L. R. Mills at 1 o clock Monday for trial.

M Sutton of Savannah bought the large brick business store on Bay street through Brabston Fendig and Co. It is currently occupied by J H Heller and Bro. The property formerly belonged to Mr Drummond of Atlanta and is regarded as one of the best stores on Bay street.

City Court Meets Monday in Regular May Session

Acting German Consul Narrowly Escapes Salonica Blast
Constantinople May 2 The acting German consul at Salonica escaped death when a dynamite blast wrecked the Ottoman bank and an adjoining club. He was slightly injured and extricated from debris. The German charge reports 50 killed or injured overall, including three Germans and four Italians wounded and one Swiss killed. Turkish officials consider a sharp response against Bulgaria but fear powers will block it. No disturbances at Salonica since April 30.

Four government departments wrestle with what to do with six thousand two hundred thirty four dollars and eighteen cents taken from Charles Fort Neeley after his Rochester arrest. The funds, originally seized on charges of looting Cuban postal revenues, are in a Postmaster General Payne safe after various transfers among Wood Root and Cochran. Neeley, now said to be in Cuba, has demanded the money back from Rochester police.

Druggist R. Hunter Injured In Bicycle Collision
R Hunter a well known druggist suffered a painful bicycle accident near Elan's store on Newcastle street. He collided with a horse drawn cart shaft struck him knocking him off the bike. He received treatment from Dr W C Hatcher and was sent home for several days of recovery.

New York May 2 Vincent M, a 9 year old boy, recovered a 20000 verdict against the Metrone sian Street Railway company for the loss of his feet. He sued for 50900 and on former trial got a 2600 verdict, one of the largest verdicts on record.
