One Woman Killed in Wild Dash of Auto on Wilkesbarre Mountain
Wilkesbarre, Pa July 7 One woman was killed another fatally injured and two others slightly hurt in a wild automobile dash down Wilkesbarre mountain. The dead woman is Mrs James D Hughes. Miss Laura Cannon a Luzerne county bar member was probably fatally injured. James Hughes husband of the dead woman and president of the WilkesBarre Automobile Club and the chauffeur were slightly hurt. The car became disabled on descent and could not be stopped plunging into a high embankment. All occupants were thrown from the machine.
