After weeks of work under City Manager Gramling the Norwich street road opened. The project completes a major city route now part of the Dixie Highway. The opening eases detours to Brunswick and should boost Christmas shoppers from the region.
Georgia will organize a statewide drive with a $250000 quota. Armand May of Atlanta, state chairman, will lead a January conference to form campaign committees in every city and hamlet. The effort aims to surpass the national $14000000 target as letters indicate strong support and momentum across key Georgian communities. Albert Fendig and Fred Pfeiffer of Brunswick may attend the Atlanta meeting.
Secretary Weeks did not complete his reply to Henry Ford's letter about the Muscle Shoals proposal by today. Publication of the communications was postponed until tomorrow, the Associated Press reports from Washington.
