Slow Session of Council Hears Sanitation and Finance Items

The city council met in regular session with Mayor Butts and seven aldermen present. A neighbor dispute over the G street alley was referred to sanitation, light and water and the city attorney. The mortuary report showed 16 deaths, the city’s health was good, and police activity earned $580.75 with 62 arrests. City voters will elect four aldermen for two years and an executive committee. Incumbents from the First ward George H. Cook and from the Second A. J. Mitchelson, from the Third L.
