Little girl dies in scalding tub accident
Stella Sherman two year old daughter of John Sherman died after falling into a tub of boiling water used to scald a hog at the family home near Crawford Alabama. A quilt covered the tub to keep steam down and the child, accustomed to pallets, lay on it and sank to the hot water as rescuers could not reach her in time. She died several hours later in Columbus Georgia on December 4.
