Girl Saved From Horrible Fate On Train

A 10 year old girl Virginia Reed of Brunswick Georgia was rescued after a man Tindall held her prisoner on a train to Jacksonville. The pair arrived at the Union Station where a passenger notified a police officer and Tindall was detained at police headquarters while Virginia was placed in care with Rev. R A Bateman of Central City Mission and her parents contacted. Police pursued a search and a lookout was issued for the man.

Wreck on the Southern injures twenty-one near Charlottesville

Fall From Bicycle Causes Death of 8-Year-Old Girl

Blossom Hopkins, an eight year old girl described as of Negro race, died Sunday morning from injuries after a fall from a bicycle ride on the handlebars of her brother’s bicycle several days earlier. Rheumatism was listed as the contributing condition. Robert Keron, once a resident, is visiting the city.

Fatalist Capitalist Killed in Chattanooga Car Crash

B. F. Reese, described as a capitalist, died in a Chattanooga wreck. Two others, including William Love, a traveling representative from New York, were injured when the automobile left the road and struck an embankment. The crash occurred near Chattanooga, with a third occupant also hurt.

White girl badly beaten in Laurens County jail assault

In Dublin Georgia on a Friday night Willie Myrick and Henrietta Walker two 16 year old girls were jailed for allegedly assaulting and wounding Pessie Lloyd a 16 year old white girl. Lloyd was beaten with an unprovoked attack and one of her cats was nearly bitten. The Myrick girl allegedly acted with Walker aiding and abetting.
