Mrs. Robert de Treville Lawrence died at her Marietta home after a long illness. Oil Men In Auto Crash In City Junction
R H Rhoden chief of night police at Atlantic Refining and D J Rhea superintendent of watchmen were overturned in an automobile at the Richmond and G streets junction while returning from the refinery to catch a Southern railroad train for Jesup. Rhoden escaped with slight injuries while Rhea, cut by glass and badly bruised, was taken out with difficulty. The crash involved a trolley car and the car’s front was demolished. Both men blamed the auto driver for braking on the track and jumping for safety. Rhea could walk shortly after but bled from a hand wound. Rhea has worked five months for Atlantic Refining and previously seven months at the picric acid plant. Rhoden was formerly a city police member.
