Millions For Georgia Cities In House Building Bill
Washington April 23 An appropriation of a quarter million dollars for an Atlanta federal building extension is in the public building bill. The measure totals about 16 million for cities nationwide with Mercer to report. Other Georgia projects include Athens Macon Rome Brunswick Selma and Montgomery with land purchases and additions planned.

Birds of a feuding family duel with shotguns
In Groomstown near Sumter Charley Grooms and his brother in law Tom Connell fought with double barrel shotguns. Over twenty shots were fired with light range birdshot leaving both men injured though not seriously. Connell sustained leg arm and body wounds while Grooms suffered facial chest arm and ear injuries. They posted bonds and were freed, the feud over a ditch on Grooms land fueling the long running dispute.

A News reporter visited Brunswick Electrical Supply and found stock being opened and organized for the new electric light and power plant. Foundations for engines and generators by Contractor W. H. Bowen are nearly finished. Machinery is largely on site and operation is expected by May 15. The firm will also handle general electric supply and construction and guarantees workmanship to pass inspection.

Bailey has wired the Oglethorpe hotel and will remain in Brunswick with the new firm. The company has headquarters at 503 Gloucester street and plans extensive electrical construction to meet a long felt want in Brunswick. The News welcomes the new concern and wishes it success.
