Last Monday evening a group of young ladies gathered at the Clay girls home to honor one with a birthday and to celebrate two others recently. The gathering was merry and many useful presents were left as tokens of friendship. Attendees included Dorris and Etha Lantz, Doris and Alene Woodward, Thelma Bingham, Orryl Adams, Lillian Gibson, Mary and Cecil Turner, Agnes Duncan, Eva Stone, Thora Austin, Nina, Irene and Lorene Pipes, Bernice Bundridge, Amelia Swicegood, Janice and Clarice Schrock, Mabel and Edna Kenley, Ester Cassity, Mable Allen, Georgia, Belle and May Carpenter, Allaire Fields and others from the Clay crowd.
At a Tuesday night meeting at the Electric Theatre Browning's seventh annual Street Fair was approved for Friday and Saturday October 15 and 16. Funds were largely subscribed with a finance committee appointed to raise the rest. J C Green was reelected president and Joé Nickell secretary of the association.
