Birthday Party At Clay Girls Home For Young Ladies

Last Monday evening a group of young ladies gathered at the Clay girls home to honor one with a birthday and to celebrate two others recently. Seventh Annual Street Fair Planned for October 15 16

At a Tuesday night meeting at the Electric Theatre Browning's seventh annual Street Fair was approved for Friday and Saturday October 15 and 16. Funds were largely subscribed with a finance committee appointed to raise the rest. J C Green was reelected president and Joé Nickell secretary of the association.

Four Good Steers Bring High Price at Purdin Sale

Elmer Ware sold four three year old steers in Purdin on Saturday. The lot weighed an average 1615 pounds and brought 8.75 dollars per cwt for a total of 565.25 dollars. The seller raised the cattle from calves and had them on feed three weeks.
