Rebecca Catherin Schrock Gibson was born October 19, 1826 in Hampshear county Virginia. She moved to Missouri in 1843 and married William F. Gibson October 3, 1860, birthing Robert Lee Gibson Browning Mo Lucie Eugenia Gibson and M. L Gibson of Kansas City. She died September 13, 1911 at her son R. L. Gibson’s home aged eighty years ten months twenty four days. funeral held September 14 by Rev. W O G Potter at Wesley Chapel cemetery.
Sunday Rev F Carl Truex closed a successful year as pastor of the Browning Baptist church. After services he baptized three converts with three more conversions that night. He will have baptized those converts Monday morning before leaving for Colorado Springs for ill health. He has led four Linn county churches and overseen church repairs and improvements.
