Floy Moore Peterson born April 10 1885 on a Mt Olive farm to Henry and Sarah Moore grew up in Mt Olive before moving to Browning. She died October 22 1942 in Kirksville aged 57 6 12. survived by husband Benjamin H Peterson son Ray Duane mother and several siblings. Burial at Mt Olive cemetery after services at Browning Baptist Church conducted by Rev Orval Hamman.

Mrs Andrew Myers died at her Browning home about 10 o clock yesterday morning after a period of illness. She is survived by four daughters Mrs Fred Tunnell of Roger Mrs Paul Jones of Kirksville Mrs Marjorie Hathaway and Mrs Beryl Hendry of Winslow Arizona and other relatives. Burial plans await Arizona daughters arrival.

District Meeting Draws Large Crowd in Browning
A large turnout attended the American Legion District Meeting at the Browning Legion Home and later at the High School Auditorium. Comrade Bud Welsch of St. Louis spoke, with music from the High School Band and performances by the Girls Trio and local singers, closing with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Senior students run games for masked event at Laclede
The seniors direct the contests while students attend in masks. A prize goes to the cleverest costume. Laclede defeats Browning 56 to 24 in girls game on the local court last Friday night, with Laclede edging Browning in the boys game by a close finish just before half a minute remained.

The High School Band assisted the Legion at the District Convention. Miss Jeanne Woolf led the band in Mr. Walkison’s absence. A trio of Gwendolyn Kelly, Mery E. Smith and Jeanne Woolf performed a song to applause with Gene on clarinet. Frances Lou Lawrence accompanied.
