Funeral Services Held at the Baptist Church Browning
Mary Susan Hoskins Myers wife of Andrew W. Myers died October 28 1942 at age 66 after living on a farm near Browning Missouri and relocating to town in 1919. She left eight children six daughters and two sons including two sons who died in World War I and Pearl Harbor. Services were conducted October 31 at the Browning Baptist Church with Rev. Hugh Snyder officiating and a large fold of Legion and family attendees. Burial followed at Knifong Grove cemetery.

Miss Etta Wilhite Dies After Illness in St Joseph
Miss Etta Wilhite died Sunday night after weeks in a St Joseph hospital. She leaves her father G. E. Wilhite and sisters Miss Eunice Wilhite and Mrs. Eva Cannon of Kansas City and many relatives. The body was taken to the Browning home Tuesday evening and funeral services were held at the Baptist Church yesterday at 2 PM.

The unofficial Tuesday vote shows Republicans swept all offices in Sullivan County while Democrats hold one firm win in Linh County for prosecuting attorney. Presiding judge and representative races in Linh are still in doubt as absentee votes may change results. Congress candidate S. W. Arnold (R) defeated M. A. Romine (D) by about 6 500 votes. State Senator Riggen (R) beat Dail (D) by roughly 800 votes.

Friendly Neighbors Club Halloween Plans At Nevins Schoolhouse
The Friendly Neighbors Club met with Myrtle Penhale on October 21 for an all day session with thirteen members one visiting member two children and one guest.
