Myrtle VanDoren Dies at 26 After Christian Life

Myrtle VanDoren born November 18 1883 died October 18 1910 at age 26 11. She married Hugh VanDoren December 10 1905 and had two sons one living. She joined the Christian church lived righteously and asked loved ones not to grieve. Funeral led by Elder Lagle with burial at Mount Carmel beside Little Farris. She leaves husband father mother three sisters two brothers and many friends. Aunt Permelia M. wrote the verse at end.

Friday night October 21 the Democratic candidates of Linn and Sullivan counties spoke at the opera house. Judge Rucker attended and gave a strong address. He seeks re election to congress and has many admirers in the district. County candidates offered brief talks outlining their claims.
