J. D. Burwell arranged a deal on Saturday transferring the Whaley Drug Store in Chariton County to Mrs. A A Whaley in exchange for a quarter section of land. Mrs. Clarentine Hopper of Nokomis Illinois becomes the new owner. Possession was given Saturday morning. The new proprietor is a pharmacist by trade. Dr Hopper, her husband, runs a lucrative practice in Nokomis.
