Geo Brandon died at his daughter Mrs J R Hensley home seven miles south of Green City on Friday November 5 1916 and was buried November 7 in Owasco cemetery by Maenhee 2 150 ad Tre in to most of his life.
Obituary notes the death of a local resident with four brothers and a sister surviving. Mrs. Hensley of Green City, John of Oklahoma, Frank of Colorado, and Harvey and William Brandon of Iowa are listed as siblings. Amanda Roxana Beverage born January 9 1840 in Upshur county West Virginia died November 13 1915 at age 65 years 10 months 4 days after long illness. She married Jeffer son C Vincent November 5 1867 and had three children Loren J Mrs May Alexander and Mrs Iva Carr who reside in Browning. She joined the Methodist Church at Bedford Missouri in 1878 and leaves a sorrowing husband and five grandchildren. Burial followed in Jenkins cemetery with funeral honors and testimonies from community members including W W Clay and Dr D B Hunter.
