The Stitch and Chatter Club hosted a Halloween social at the Wilie Ware home on October 31. Guests passed through themed rooms, fortune telling, and music by members, with Arthur Rinehart winning best mask. A quilt block gift was given to Iris Elliott as the group bids farewell to local youths. Numerous attendees from the community shared in refreshments and festivities. In a separate note, G. M. Ram Attacks Farmer Near Cora Causes Animal Rescue
J H Tharp of east of Cora was attacked in his pasture by his own ram. The ram knocked him down and gored him until the dog helped his master and forced the animal away. Mrs Tharp later found him and he returned to the house. The dog’s intervention likely saved him from death.
