Fred Penn 78 longtime Neligh resident died at Clarkson Hospital Omaha Friday October 6 after an operation. Born December 31 1871 Browning Missouri he married Josie Biswell in 1898. Survived by wife and two sons James C. Penn Hershey and William Penn Oberlin Kansas. Funeral at Neligh Congregational Church Monday at 2. Burial Laurel Hill. National Bank of Neligh closed during services.

The W. S. of C. S. met at the Methodist church in the afternoon for a 2 pm gathering.
