Marguerite Yagel Obituary Notice
Marguerite May Kellogg Yagel died April 29 after eight years of frail health. She was born May 13 1876 in Berlin Heights Ohio and married Joseph Yagel in 1899. Survived by husband four children two stepchildren three brothers two sisters and many relatives. Funeral held at Grantsville cemetery with Rev J Presley Pound officiating.

Pasture Improvement Studies Underway at Missouri Stations

Sun Shine Workers Club Meeting Notes May 2
The Sun Shine Workers Club held an all day meeting with Mrs Charley Peavler. Quilting was the day’s work though the quilt remained unfinished as some members left for baby chicks and incubators. A noon covered dish luncheon followed. Members discussed where to live choosing country over city. The minutes were read and approved. Readings by Mrs Ellwood Thudium and stunt acts by Bernice Coram and Helen Cassity were performed. New members Mrs Von Nester and Mrs Hadley Rulon joined bringing total near 30. The meeting closed with prayer.

Man Kills Large Black Snake at Prather Lake

Rainy Friday Boosts Corn and Pastures in Dry Season
A fine Friday rain fell across the area, totaling about an inch or more. The soaking moisture relieved extreme dryness, benefiting newly planted corn and pastures, with corn ground ready for harrowing and overall prospects improving after a year of deficient rainfall.
Death of John W. Bailey at 72 in Missouri
John W. Bailey died May 7 1934 at his home north of Meadville Missouri from a paralytic stroke. He married Maria Seale in 1889 and leaves a widow a foster daughter a brother and two sisters. Funeral services were held at the M E Church in Laclede with Rev. Harry Cooke officiating. interment followed in Laclede cemetery.
