First Alumni Banquet Pleases B H S Group

About sixty alumni and guests gathered April 24 at the opera house for the first alumni banquet. Will Austin presided, Miss Stella Kille was secretary, and toasts by Mrs. Lola Williams and Mrs. Hermia Adams followed welcome remarks. Letters from absent members were read, and an elaborate luncheon plus merry games ended the joyful evening.

Obituary of R T L Curtis of Sullivan County Missouri

R T L Curtis born July 6 1858 in Sullivan county Missouri died April 17 after long illness. He married Emma J Mairs on August 23 1898 and is survived by his wife a sister Mrs Joseph Marrs and many relatives. Funeral conducted by Rev W O G Potter at the family residence with interment at Kai Fong Grove cemetery. The community mourns the loss of a respected citizen.

Thornton Family Reunion Honors Guests From Oklahoma City and Cleburne

Sunday Mr and Mrs T M Thornton hosted a family reunion at their country home honoring Mrs R C Beaucamp of Oklahoma City and Mrs R C Clements of Cleburne Texas. Guests shared a country dinner prepared by Mrs Thornton and recalled old farm days near Old Enterprise with music and conversation. Present were Mr and Mrs T M Thornton Mr and Mrs J A Calhoun Mr and Mrs J H Calhoun Mrs B A Burton Kellogg Iowa Mrs R C Clements son and daughter of Cleburne Texas Mrs B D Beaucamp of Oklahoma City Miss Clair Calhoun and C M Thornton. They left late in the day after a happy gathering looking forward to another reunion.

Schooler Couple Takes Charge of Hotel Harbor at Trenton

Mr and Mrs C A Schooler moved to Trenton this week to assume management of the Hotel Harbor leased from W A Clem. The Harbor, a leading North Missouri hotel, is expected to stay popular under Schoolers experience. Friends and Trenton residents wish them success and patronage. Charley offered an informal back door handout to the editor.
