Pioneer Settler Mundell Dies At 86 In Browning
Thomas Benton Mundell born November 26 1846 one mile west of Browning died March 14 1933 at age 86 after a long illness. He married Mary Francis Moffett April 23 1874 and raised two sons and two daughters. He was a cabinet maker and undertaker in earlier years and a devout Baptist. Funeral by Rev E John Meyers with interment in Mundell cemetery. He leaves a wife one son Alonzo Mundell two daughters Mrs James Ride and Mrs Walter Crooks eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren plus two sisters and nine brothers. Funeral director L W Hummel.

Rachel Harryman Owens died March 13 1933 at her son Clarence Owens home near Kismet Kansas aged 72 years 9 months and 4 days She was born June 9 1860 in Illinois and moved to Linn County Missouri at one year old She married John Kelley Owens November 14 1885 They had seven children four surviving Chlora Urbach Charles Owers Clarence Owens Frank Owens and Ruth Rose Grandchildren numbered sixteen with four great grandchildren Two stepdaughters also survive Funeral services were held March 17 1933 at the Baptist church in Purdin Missouri conducted by Rev J W Trower and burial followed at Kaifong Grove cemetery

Frank Nelson Rinehart born near Browning Missouri October 20 1870 died March 8 1923 at his Drumheller Alberta home. He moved to a Oklahoma homestead then Alberta in 1908 and farmed until death leaving two sons two daughters six grandchildren and two brothers. Funeral services were held in Browning with Rev Rudloff and burial at Jenkins cemetery.

Beer Bill Passed Ends Long Beer Battle
The Cullen beer wine bill won final house passage on Tuesday and targets legalizing 3.2 per cent beer by April 7. President Roosevelt planned to sign soon as Missouri prepares licenses with fees of 500 for brewers 50 for wholesalers 10 for on premise retailers and 5 for off premise retailers. Beer gardens are expected to proliferate nationwide by summer.
