Fire destroys Peters Implement building Sunday
Fire at about 2 o'clock Sunday morning destroyed the Peters Implement building. Flames rapidly enveloped the pine framed structure filled with oil and grease. The blaze damaged the Hummel Furniture Store and Mrs. J. P. Turner’s Millinery. Lumsden and Jones barber shop roof was kept wet to save it. Wind from the northwest aided spread. no save was possible and losses exceed coverage. Origin unknown and insurance unlikely to cover all.
