City announces a Special Election on April 3, 1951 to approve a thirty cent levy for General Municipal Purposes replacing the prior sixty cent street maintenance levy. Fire destroyed the Electric Theatre in Browning early Sunday. Tom McCown and Watchman Ad ram Stone spotted the blaze around 2 am. Wind from the north limited efforts while Purdin and Lin neus fire units helped save adjacent structures. Owner George Crooks faced a heavy loss.
