Death of Ben L. Jones in Cascade Montana

Ben L. Jones died at his Cascade home Friday morning after a two week illness. A sister from Oklahoma and his wife were at his bedside. Born in 1861 in Browning Missouri, he lived in Montana for nearly twenty years, worked at Flowerree ranch, then for J. W. Cornell and others. Funeral staged at home with Rev. E F Lyman officiating. remains to be buried in Missouri.

Browning and Purdin Battle in Neighboring Town Game

Friday the Browning and Purdin teams faced off at Diamond south of town in a spirited, well played contest. Batteries were Moore and Duncan for Browning and Arnold Brothers of North Salem for Purdin. Umpires Smith of Pur din and Mr Peas praised for their work. Harrison Blackburn was struck in the head by a ball, removed to town for doctors, and is hoped to recover soon.
