Sunday July 19 will be observed as Brassfield Day in Browning honoring Lieutenant Arthur J Brassfield and all soldiers on leave. A program at City Park begins at 2 30 p m with music from the Milan Band.

Attorney Vane C. Thurlo of Jefferson City will deliver the main address. The welcome is by Herbert C. Bailey with Master of Ceremonies L. E. Atherton of Milan. Lieutenant Brassfield will share experiences. If rain occurs the program moves to the high school auditorium.

Honor Guest Tea at Brookfield Elks Club Seeks War Mothers

The Business and Professional Women's Club of Brookfield will host an afternoon tea honoring Mrs. Arthur J. Brassfield as the guest of honor. She will meet the war mothers and wives of service members from Brookfield and area at the Elks Club on Friday July 17 from 3 to 5 o clock.
