Mary Calandra Roach dies at 82 in Browning Missouri after long life in Kentucky Illinois and Missouri. Survived by five children, seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. funeral held at her daughter’s home with church affiliations noted.

Sunday July 10 1932 the Kimbrough family met at the old home in honor of Chester Foreman of Salem Oregon with eighty present. A noon dinner followed by visiting and photo sessions marked the day as relatives listed include Foreman Kimbrough Belcher Har den Doyle and others.
Carl Porter notes orders for native lumber to frame projects using oak or elm and promises measurements saved for each order.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Watson and their son Charles join Misses Vivian and Bernice Franklin, Eleanor Knight, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Daniels and daughters Lorene and Ira Mae, and Mrs. Fannie Harmon in leaving Sunday for Los Angeles California to spend the summer vacation and attend the Olympic games. They expect to be away about six weeks or two months.

Brookfield dairyman C S Hubbard calls for plans to dig and fill a trench silo to protect his corn crop from chunch bugs. The trench silo is praised as very successful and inexpensive to build with minimal ongoing costs.
Farmers in Jackson County are advised that trench silos can be built and filled, with many silage units already in service. Plans and guidance are available at the County Agent's Linneus office.
The Baptist ladies will offer ice cream and cake at the Bailey Maytag office on Saturday afternoon and night, inviting local residents to stop by.
Notice is given of the annual meeting of Citizens State Bank stockholders at Browning on July 30 1932. The meeting begins at nine o clock in the morning and lasts at least three hours unless the purpose is completed sooner. Purpose to elect directors for the ensuing year and transact other business. Earl Nickell was taken to the hospital in Kirksville Thursday by Dr Brownback, accompanied by his mother Mrs Joe Nickell, where he underwent an operation for appendicitis that afternoon. He is getting along nicely and expects to be at home next week.
John Cabble Roach, born December 3 1877 near Humphreys Missouri, died July 7 1932 at his sister’s home Browning aged 54 8 4. Survived by wife Mary Leona Whaley five children Beatrice May Edwin Mary Harold Lucille and seven grandchildren. Roach lived in Humphreys Kansas City and worked as a merchant and community helper.
