Fire destroys east of Cora home. family escapes
About four o'clock Saturday morning John W. Spencer of east of Cora started a fire in the stove and returned to bed. He then heard a noise and found the room in flames. The family escaped with only the house contents lost and the house insured for a small amount.

Fire damages cement house in city
Ernest Lumsden noticed the cement house belonging to J. B. Harmon in the north part of the city on fire last Wednesday. He raised the alarm and the flames were extinguished. The blaze was likely started by a spark falling on the roof.
