A noonday dinner was served and guests departed after well wishes. Mary Jane Wilson widow of Johnston A Wilson died January 20 1925 at her daughter’s home in Seattle after months of illness. Born August 22 1849 in Kentucky she moved to Missouri as a child. Survived by six children including Seattle residents Kathryn Wilson DeWitt A Clark and William H Wilson with four grandchildren. Funeral by Rev Russell F Thraap at First Christian Church Seattle. Interment Lakeview Cemetery on her late husband’s anniversary.

John L Kirby of Jackson Township Dies at 72
John L. Kirby, a prominent Jackson Township farmer and stock raiser, died early Sunday January 18 1925 after months of illness. Born April 13 1852 he spent his life in the township and accumulated a large estate. Funeral services were held January 20 at the Kirby home with interment at Mt Olive Baptist Cemetery. Rev Z Vance Reed officiated in the absence of Rev J W Drinkard. He left a large family from two marriages and was highly regarded in Linn and Jackson townships.
