The Stitch and Chatter club met with 49 members and guests, quilting and embroidery ongoing as they plan future events. They discussed roll call, competitions, and social activities including a wood cutting contest with the Spit and Spatter club, and look forward to the next meeting January 12 with Dana Lambert.

Platt City Coach Leonard Jordon Found Dead in Taxi
Leonard Jordon 29, athletics coach at Platt City High, was found in a Liberty taxi garage at 9 am Monday. Owner Lee Jackson said Jordon seemed sick, helped into the cab at midnight Sunday, then slept in the rear seat when Jackson drove it home. Jordon,Liberty native, had weak heart from athletic exertion and had recently become Platt City’s coach after graduating Liberty College.

Doctor Joseph B Robinson Passed To His Reward
Joseph Benton Robinson son of Dr. William R and Mrs Dorcas Robinson born February 7 1958 in Browning Missouri died January 6 1933 in Fort Scott Kansas aged 74 years 10 months and 29 days. He practiced medicine in Walnut Hiattville Harris Half Rock Bourbon county and Walnut again aiding the poor. He was a Mason Scottish Rite Shriner and a longtime Christian church member. Funeral held at the Walnut Christian church with Rev W E Babo and another minister. burial at Hiattville cemetery. He is survived by his wife seven children nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren with many relatives and friends expressing sympathy.
