H R Downing died at McLarney Hospital early Monday February 16 1942. Funeral services are set for Wednesday at 2 30 from Hill Chapel with Rev J E Jones leading. Interment at Rose Hill. He was born January 10 1886 near Browning Missouri and married Zara Annis Bales in 1907. He spent years with Burlington Railroad and was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen. Survived by wife Zara sister Anna Hatch brother Wester Downing.
