Death of John R Stephenson in White Oak area noted
John R Stephenson born December 8 1847 in Chattanooga Tennessee died February 11 1937 in Missouri. He married Mary Ann McBurmells in 1867 and had nine children. He leaves seven children twenty four grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren, plus siblings and half siblings. Funeral services were held by Rev Fred Bertschman and he is interred at White Oak cemetery beside his wife.

Milan Man Fatally Injured West of Laclede
Ben Quigley 45 of Milan Missouri died after being struck by a car on Highway No 36 three miles west of Laclede while working on his car. Jonn L Strosaider Tremonton Missouri, driver for Iowa Packing, reportedly sounded a horn and Quigley turned, was hit by the right fender and pinned his back and head. Quigley died at Brookfield City Hospital around 11 am. He leaves a wife, son and daughter. son a Milan High student, daughter a Kansas City nurse. Funeral arrangements via Hunter Rollins. The incident involved A Key Boonville and Ray S Calvet Carrollton assisting.

She married Francis Marion Belcher later married James Craig Green and lived in St Joseph Missouri Browning Fort Madison and Browning again. Survived by nine children eleven grandchildren two sisters three brothers and a host of relatives.
