Another wood chopping is planned on the Heisman land north of Browning for Friday February 15. Last Monday’s effort yielded a good amount of work but not finished. About $400 worth of wood, saw logs and posts will go to the Red Cross, with Thornton and Burwell donating materials and handling brush. The Red Cross thanks volunteers and asks everyone to return and bring others.
William W Jones born November 17 1839 in Monroe County Kentucky ages to Milan Missouri later became teacher and preacher. He served in Civil War with Missouri volunteers then preached gospel from 1869 until death on February 7 at son in law F M Cattey's home. He leaves six daughters one son forty grandchildren nineteen great grandchildren and a brother. Funeral by grandson Will H McCollum with Masonic grave service.
