Ten members attended the Wesley-Hummel class gathering on a sunny February 1. The group sang Trust and Obey and discussed Living at Our Best led by Mrs. Edna Bagley. Mrs. Carr offered prayer. Friendship Circle Club Meeting Opens With Song And Demonstration
The Friendship Circle Club met on Wednesday January 31 with Mrs Jay Smith for an all day gathering. After a noon dinner and activities in the living room the meeting resumed with singing the Loves Old Sweet Song and the Lord's Prayer led by the group. Eldora Johnson read minutes and eight members answered roll call with a current event. Zelma Stufflebean gave a demonstration in place of her sister Loy and guest of honor.

Civil War veteran dies at 88 in Missouri
Blith McCollum born January 23 1846 in Chariton county Missouri died January 26 1934 at son John O McCollum’s home near Winigan aged 88 years 3 days. He served as a Civil War soldier and is survived by three children eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren with funeral at Morris Chapel Church near Purdin conducted by Rev Drinkard.

Car Cranking Accident Breaks Orbra Jones Arm
Mr and Mrs Orbra Jones and sons visited Mr and Mrs Ola F Knifong near Cora on Sunday. Orbra broke his right arm when a car backfired while he tried to crank it. Both bones above the wrist were broken and reset. He is recovering as well as expected and will miss his barber chair for weeks.
