Mrs Ada Morris Dies After Illness in Milan Missouri

Ada E. Gooch Morris 71 died January 25 1951 at Simpson Hospital Milan Missouri after a three week illness. She married Charles S Morris November 19 1899 he died 1940. Survived by son Cecil Morris and daughter Ruth Abell both deceased others include three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral at Morris Chapel January 27 1951. Interment Wade Funeral Service directed.

Sarah Miles born November 4 1865 daughter of Henry Ford died January 26 1951 at her sister s home in Purdin Missouri aged 84 years 2 months 22 days She leaves one son Victor E Miles of Los Angeles one grandson Joseph Alva Miles Kansas City four great grandchildren and four sisters and one brother Funeral services were held January 30 1951 at Wade Funeral Home in Bethany cemetery with Rev Kenneth Peery and Miss Cynthia Moore in attendance.

The Womans Christian Temperance Union of Purdin met January 25 at Mrs. Robert Smiths home with nine members one honorary member and one visitor present. An opening song and a meditation centered on forgiveness and March 4th plans were discussed along with readings, talks on prohibition and politics, military training for boys, and a guest poem.
