Eliza E Freeland born November 20 1847 in Green County Pennsylvania married George Freeland in 1865 and moved to Missouri. After long illness she died January 25 at St Marys Mercy Hospital Centerville Iowa following an operation. Her remains were laid to rest at Schrock Cemetery after services.

Alva L. Gibson of Chula and Vida E. Kimbrough of Purdin were married at the home of the bride’s brother-in-law and sister in Harmony. Rev. E. Y. Campbell officiated as guests praised the couple and shared a celebratory meal.

The Browning band under C S Reed presented a play at the opera house Saturday night to great acclaim. Each performer did creditable work and the group plans monthly productions to fund band expenses.
