Alfred Brown born 1872 died December 21 1950 at Brookfield Hospital age 78. Survived by second wife Laura B Hall and one brother Thomas Canada plus nieces nephews and stepchildren. Funeral at Mt Olive Church December 24 1950 conducted by Rev. Harold Marrs with pallbearers named. Burial at Mt Olive Cemetery Wade Funeral Home directed.

General Purpose Club Holds December Meeting

The General Purpose Club met on December 14 hosted by Mrs. Alma Rinehart with ten members and two children. They quilted and packed comfort items, shared a Christmas program, contributed one dollar each to Tuberculosis Foundation and Boys Town, and awarded a necktie quilt and hostess knife holder prizes. A follow-up meeting is planned for December 28 at Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Thurlo with sandwiches pie and coffee.

Son of Albia Couple Killed in Auto Accident Near Knoxville

Russell Peterson, aged 14, of Albia Iowa, died in an automobile crash near Knoxville. He was married with a young daughter and is the grandson of Fay Peterson of Browning. Fay Peterson and Jerry Jennings families traveled to Albia to be with the bereaved. Funeral services are planned for Friday.
