Demise of Mrs Duckworth in Sullivan County Missouri
Ollie Hester Johnson born May 18 1871 in Sullivan County Missouri daughter of Mr and Mrs George Johnson. She married Willis E Duckworth on September 18 1895 and had Albert Bryan and Martha Virginia. She died December 10 from heart failure at about 10 PM. Funeral services were conducted by Rev J W Drinkard of Laredo and burial was in Hoover cemetery. She leaves sisters Tippie and Florence Johnson and brothers Isaac and Ray Johnson. Mr Duckworth and children receive community sympathy.

Bloodhounds Track Hog Thief Through Linn County
A. H. Peterson of Eversonville called Sheriff White after a hog theft ended with the animal butchered and hung to cool. Deputy Rohrer used bloodhounds to trail suspects nearly a mile to a buggy in the woods. Farmers report missing chickens for weeks, and a warrant will be sought for the thief who stole the hog.

The Missouri College of Agriculture sold a yearling son of Carlotta Pontiac to Old Mexico. The buyer owns a large dairy herd of 800 cows supplying Mexico City. The price was $400. Carlotta Pontiac, a Holstein cow, produced 93 barrels of milk totaling 708 lbs of fat, equal to 827 lbs of butter.
