True Blue Club Holds December Meeting

Twelve members of the True Blue Club met with Mrs. Lilburn Gimer on December 1. The December 24 gathering was postponed due to Thanksgiving week. The meeting opened with Jingle Bells and a Club Collect read by Mrs. Tom Mcerris. Members answered roll call with My Thanksgiving Dinner and each read an article on Thanksgiving. Names were drawn for the Christmas Exchange and Secret Sisters prizes were awarded to Mrs. Warren Gooch Mrs. Lee Ells Hedges Mrs. Darrald s contests, with Cocoanut and chocolate candy served. The meeting closed with the Lord s Prayer and will resume December 8 at 1:30 with Mrs. Will Morris hosting.

Miss Mabel Cooper and Lewis K Foster were married Sunday morning at the Chillicothe parsonage by Rev LaVerne L Rudolph. The bride, a Chillicothe High School graduate, worked at Scotts Store before marriage. The groom, a Purden High School class of 1929 alum, has worked for a Steel Construction Company. They will live near Chillicothe after a brief honeymoon.

Sunshine Workers Club Hosts Snow Day Meeting

The Sunshine Workers Club met December 1 despite a snow storm. Eight members and eleven visitors attended to work on comforts and a quilt for the hostess Mrs Ernest Head who moved to a new house. A covered luncheon followed with songs readings and a short program. The next meeting with Mabel Maxwell will feature a Christmas program and gift exchange.
