John Wesley Cordray born October 7 1867 near North Salem Missouri died December 1 1950 at Grim Smith Memorial Hospital Kirksville Missouri aged 83 years 1 month 14 days. He married Sally Crist in 1893 and had two daughters Bertha Sullivan and Iva Sheddy. Funeral December 8 1950 at Browning Methodist Church. Burial at Kaifong Cemetery.

Mrs. Alice Cordelia Cutberth aged 91 died Friday afternoon at the home of her daughter Mrs. Jack Barber on route 7 in St. Joseph Missouri. She had lived in St. Joseph 16 years and was born in Des Moines county Iowa. Neighbors Help Cecil Lay Family With Corn Picking

On Wednesday afternoon November 29 neighbors and friends gathered at the Lay home west of town to finish corn picking while Cecil Lay remains a patient at the Veterans Hospital in Wadsworth Kansas. The Laclede tournament ran from Wednesday to Saturday with Liberty boys beating Laclede 25 to 17 and Liberty girls topping Avalon 26 to 18. Liberty girls then beat Bogard 24 to 19 before losing 25 to 28 to Bucklin in a tense final. Liberty boys fell 41 to 31 against Avalon yet won two second place trophies overall.
