Mrs Viola Lambert Dies After Illness in New Mexico

Mrs Viola Lambert, born April 11 1897 in Linn County Missouri, died November 22 1982 in Albuquerque New Mexico of heart trouble at age 85. She married John M Lambert on October 14 1917 and they had son Edward. She moved with her husband to New Mexico two years ago and was a Christian church member in Purdin. Burial occurred November 25 in Purdin cemetery beside her mother with family acknowledging thanks for support.

Swisegood Girl Passes at 17 After Brief Life

Vivian Neva Swisegood born May 7 1915 died November 22 1932 age 17 years 6 months 15 days daughter of James and Lela Swisegood. She leaves father mother three sisters and one brother Alpha Cordray Iola Pearler Floyd Swisegood Helen all of North Salem Browning North Salem and siblings who predeceased her. Funeral verse notes her memory and hope to meet again beyond sorrow.

Mrs Sarah Moore obituary note in Linn county Illinois

Mrs Sarah Moore daughter of Harrison and Elizabeth Bailey was born in McLean county Illinois on April 9 1862. She moved with her parents after the Civil War to Missouri settling near North Salem Linn county. She married William Henry Moore on November 7 1886 and died November 24 1932 at age 71 years 7 months 15 days. Ten children were born to the union four at home Clay L Enid D Maple M and Ward B. Also surviving one grandson James William Moore and a sister Mrs Laura McGhee of Shelby. Six children Charley Harvey preceded her in death.

Quiet Trenton Wedding Joins Clawson and Bowyer

In Trenton Missouri on Monday November 28 at the home of Rev. E Riddle, Ellis G. Clawson married Miss Ruth B Bowyer in a surprise ceremony. The bride, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Lloyd Bowyer, and groom, eldest son of Mr and Mrs John T Clawson, will reside with the groom’s parents for now. Gertie Bowyer and Noble Crooks attended. The Adams Wesley Class met November 25 at Dr and Mrs Quinn Becker’s, with plans for a candy sale bazaar and Christmas. The meeting featured two numbers by the male quartet and a social hour with refreshments. Twelve members and three visitors attended.

The First Baptist Bible School invites members to devote more time to God’s Word with Sunday sessions at ten o’clock. Next Sunday’s lesson is Following Christ in Dealing with other Races. Laclede Bank Wrecked and Robbery Attempt in Benson Bank

Robbers gained entrance to Benson Bank in Laclede Missouri at 2:30 AM and attempted to blow the vault door with an explosive charge. The resulting fire destroyed vault records, damaged the building, and about $1,200 was reportedly taken. Night Marshal Oliver Bennett alerted fire and sheriff deputies. guards policed exits but no suspects found. Robbery described as amateurish with no wire-cutting or backtracking, and investigators sought clues as they searched debris and safety deposit boxes for valuables.
