Dinner Honors Navy Seamen At Kimbrough Home

A August 20 dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Kimbrough celebrated Nolan R. Kimbrough second class seaman and Rayburn Hicks boatsman mate second class on fur lough. About 115 guests attended including many Kimbrough and Hicks family members and neighbors. The cake bore a red white and blue U S Navy motif.

Mrs W D Duckworth Dies Near Spivey After Long Life

Mrs Linda Hill Duckworth died last Saturday July 29 at her home near Spivey aged 78 years 5 months 17 days. She was married to W D Duckworth in 1891 and had three children Owen V Clara Benson and Alpha Harper. She taught in Missouri University trained and led the women’s class at Zion Methodist church. Funeral services were held at Spivey Methodist Church with pastor in charge and interment in Kingman cemetery.
