Carter Quigley Nuptials In Macon Missouri

Melba Carter and Wilson Quigley wed in Macon on a Wednesday evening July 15, with Dr and Mrs Correll as attendants. Mrs Quigley is the Carter family daughter and a Brown ing High School graduate and nurse from General Hospital Kansas City. Quigley, Browning High School graduate, served four years in the U. S. Navy and will attend a Navy school in San Diego. The couple plans to reside in San Diego and friends offer congratulations.

Missouri State Highway magnet completes Division Two rounds

The road magnet of the Missouri State Highway Department finished pickups on gran ular roads in Division Two from Macon. It covered 611 miles reclaiming 2475 pounds of scrap metal at about 4 pounds per mile. Since March 1 it logged 2801 miles in Divisions seven four one two reclaiming nearly eight tons at six pounds per mile. In Linn 69 miles yielded 192 pounds and in Sullivan 76 miles yielded 17 pounds.

Relatives and friends gathered Sunday to honor Johnnie Elliott on his 27th birthday. The group traveled from Milan, bringing baskets of cakes pies fried chicken and desserts. Sam Johnson Dies in Longmont After Ill Health

Clarence Johnson received a telegram from Longmont Colorado announcing the death of his brother Sam Johnson on Friday night. Sam had long been in poor health and had lived with his daughter Mrs Claude Elliott and family in Longmont for six years. Funeral services were held today at 2 30 PM at the Methodist church, with interment in Hoover cemetery beside his wife.
