Minerva Clark Bailey of Browning Missouri died July 1934 after a long illness. She was born August 4 1850 in Waynesburg Pennsylvania and widow of Henry C Bailey. Survived by five children two sons in Browning three daughters in Oregon and Oregon. Funeral at Baptist Church July 25 conducted by Rev L H Maples. Interment Hoover Cemetery beside husband.

Work on a large community well in Browning began early this week under Rev. Luton and Millard Hall near the Methodist parsonage on the Sullivan county side. Uncle Sam funds labor while residents cover material costs. The well aims to reach abundant water to aid a drought prone Strip area.

Near North Salem yesterday morning Brantner and Turner posted notices for a rodeo next Sunday. A four foot seven inch water moccasin was caught by fishermen in Yellow Creek. The snake was cut open revealing thirty eight young snakes inside.
