Prathers Sale Boosts Missouri Jersey Herd Fame

Walter Prather of Clover Dale Dairy Farm held a large dispersal sale of 41 Jersey cows and heifers with bids from distant states. Prices ranged from 100 to 200 dollars per head, topping at 200 for Rosette's Silver Eminence, as bidders praised the quality and Prather's dairying success.

Gospel Brigade ends meetings and heads to Brashear

The Ayers Hillborn Union Gospel Brigade concluded a series of meetings last Sunday night and departed for Brashear to continue a few weeks of revival. Knox City residents urged local churches to cooperate, praising the Gospel work and inviting public support for street and church preaching in Brashear and beyond.

Mr. Joseph Kollasch, proprietor of the millinery and jewelry store in the Odd Fellows block, announces the arrival of Mr. A. J. Reger's Team Defeats Browning 7 to 0 in Friendly Match

Sunday the Roger ball team played Browning with Rogers and Ford as battery for Reger and Neely and Gable pitching. Moore kept the plate. A large crowd saw a clean game as Browning promises strong future games and local businessmen show support. Several ladies attended.

Rural Graduation at Jenkins and Prairie Seminary Districts

Mrs Hermin Adams closed a successful term with a Friday night graduation program. Four Jenkins district pupils and five Prairie Seminary district students completed the common school course. Prof McFadden gave a diploma speech. E L Joyce Linn county schools superintendent spoke briefly. The crowded house left pleased and hopeful for more rural graduates next year.

Yeoman Initiation at Cora Lodge Meeting

The Brot herhood of American Yeoman held a banner meeting in Cora with distinguished guests assisting in initiating many candidates. J. W. Jennings of Milan has worked to recruit new members for the lodge, and the Cora team conducted floor work to the satisfaction of all. The homestead remained in session until about 3 a.m. with active, well-regarded members helping sustain the lodge.
