Brookfield reports from Peabody Kansas that barber Jim Holding formerly of Browning and later of Brookfield was sentenced to life in prison for killing his stepson. He had divorced his first wife and later married a widow with grown children. After a quarrel with his wife the stepson intervened and Holding shot him dead in Kansas.
