Harvest Festival comes of age in Terry County celebrations

Ginnings in Terry and Yoakum Counties Reach 447 Bales
447 bales had been handled in Terry and Yoakum counties as of Tuesday according to Aubrey Jones TEC supervisor. The tally shows 385 bales by 16 Terry pins and 62 by six Yoakum guns with a 122 bale rise from the season’s first report. Jones now projects Terry at 60 000 bales and Yoakum at 14 000. A. B. Cornett will assist in obtaining native Mexican labor in the TEC office through late October.

Two Prentice Field Completions in Terry County
Two Prentice field completions were made in Terry county last week raising September total to three. Great Western Drilling completed the No 10 Brit Clare in Section 22 Block D 14 at 6802 feet with 6516 feet casing and pay at 6416 feet. The well tested 165.2 barrels of oil per day plus 2 percent water with gravity 29 degrees and a gas oil ratio not specified. Tennessee Gas Transmission completed the No 18 C B Townes in Section 22 Block K to 6802 feet. pay at 6624 feet. it pumped 11463 barrels plus 2.5 percent water. gravity 30.9 and gas oil ratio 2031 to 1. Drilling reports from two south eastern Terry wildcats show the Texas Company No 1 Baker in Section 4 Block C 38 drilling at 8522 feet in lime and sand.
