Former Brownfield man shot dead at Midland motel
Bernard Balero junior, 24, a Geo Source truck driver born in Brownfield and living in Fort Stockton, was killed in a Sand Piper Inn shooting in Midland. Todd H. Stephens, 23, faces murder charges after an alleged dispute over money. Balero’s funeral is set for 2 p.m. tomorrow at St Anthony’s Catholic Church.
